This miso butter salmon gives you crisp skin and a rich, shiny glaze. First, you sear salmon until golden. Then you coat it with miso butter and finish with a bright citrus touch.

Instructions
1) Make the miso butter

Mix butter and miso in a small bowl.

Add soy sauce and honey if using.

Keep it ready at room temp.
2) Sear the salmon (crispy skin)

Pat salmon skin very dry.

Season flesh side with salt and light pepper.

Heat a heavy pan on medium-high. Add oil.

Place salmon skin side down. Press gently for 10 seconds.

Cook 5–7 minutes until skin is crisp and most of the flesh turns opaque.

Flip and cook 30–60 seconds.
